Product Editor
Learn how to add or edit your product
On the Product Editor page, you can add or edit your products. Products are essential for your AI customer service page, as they help provide context and information to your customers. Your customers can view these products when they interact with your AI customer service page, allowing them to make informed decisions and they can see your products via chat Catalog on top right of the chat page or in the chat content when it sets as initial content.
Entrypoint
The entrypoints to the Product Editor page are from the Products page in your Team Dashboard. You can find the Products page from several entrypoints:
- From Page Configuration page:
- When you are in the Team Dashboard homepage
- Click "Action" button of the page you want to manage
- Click on Configuration tab
- Then click on the Manage Products button
- From the Products page:
- When you are in the Team Dashboard homepage
- Click on the Products page in the left sidebar. If you are in mobile view, click on the top hamburger button to show menu items and click on Products
Adding a New Product
- Make sure you are in the Products page then click on the Add Product button
- When you open Products page from "Page Configuration" page it will automatically open the Product Editor page
- When you open Products page from the left sidebar / menu items it will show dialog to select the page you want to add a product to, just click the drop down "Select a page" then click "Select" button
- In the Product Editor page, fill in the required information to create a new product:
- Title: The name of your product, it will be displayed to your customers on your AI customer service page
- Description: A brief description of your product, it will be displayed to your customers on your AI customer service page and works as your product's knowledge base
- Currency: You can add links associated with this product, this will be displayed to your customers on your AI customer service page
- Price: The price of your product, it will be displayed to your customers on your AI customer service page
- Product URL: The URL of your product, you can use product link from your e-commerce platform, or even have your affiliate link here, it will be used to access your product page when user click on the product link in your AI customer service page
- Show Product Detail checkbox: If you switch on, it will show the product detail in your AI customer service page when your customers click the product, otherwise it will open the product link immediately
- When the Show Product Detail checkbox is switched on, you can add multiple links with the action titles. And you can delete the links by clicking the trash icon next to the link
- Update Product button: Click this button to create your new product
- After you click the Update Product button, system will automatically add the product knowledge into your AI customer service page's knowledge base
- After the product is created, it will be refreshed and you can fully manage your product
Editing a Product
- If you already in the Product Editor page and editing selected product, you can skip step number 2 and 3
- Makesure you are in the Products page and already filtered products by page
- When you open Products page from "Page Configuration" page it will automatically filtered out the page
- When you open Products page from the left sidebar / menu items, the best practice requires you to filter products by page first
- Choose product then click on the Action button on the very right of the product item
- In the Product Editor page, Update to Knowledge Base page selector will shows up when you not filter products by page on products page before clicking "Action", otherwise it will hidden and automatically update to selected page
- Select a page to update the product knowledge base to that page
- If you are in the Product Editor page from "Page Configuration" page, it will automatically update to that page
- Fill in the required information to update a product detail:
- Thumbnail Image: You can upload a thumbnail image for your product, by clicking the image icon, and select an image file from your computer. To delete the thumbnail image, click the "Clear" button next to the thumbnail image, this will remove the thumbnail image from your product
- Title: The name of your product, it will be displayed to your customers on your AI customer service page
- Description: A brief description of your product, it will be displayed to your customers on your AI customer service page and works as your product's knowledge base
- Currency: You can add links associated with this product, this will be displayed to your customers on your AI customer service page
- Price: The price of your product, it will be displayed to your customers on your AI customer service page
